These apps help you check out your appearance and pick out makeup artist products without setting foot in a store!

Can your phone make you more beautiful? If a handful of iPhone apps have anything to do with it, the answer is a resounding yes! Here are three products that are helping women find makeup artist products and have fun with beauty right on their phones.

MakeUp This Apple App Store app lets users test out new makeup artist products without ever having to try them on or even set foot in a store. Users simply upload a photo of themselves to their phone and test out products theyre interested in right on the photo.

With 1200 real-life products to choose from, users simply use the apps facial recognition software to apply product to their virtual face and see what they like. If you love a product you can simply buy it right there on your phone or purchase it next time youre in your favorite makeup store.

RealBeautys Instant Celebrity Makeover Heres a great way to kill time on your commute: transform yourself into a red-carpet ready celebrity! This app gives your photo a virtual makeover. Makeup artist products are used to transform your visage with a celebrity hairstyle, makeup look, and designer outfit.

Once youre ready to face your own personal paparazzi, you can share your new look on Facebook or just save it to your phone.

Mirror App It doesnt get much simpler than this. DLP Mobile is busy readying an app for the iPhone 4 that turns your phone into a mirror. Instead of hitting the ladies room after lunch for that midday touchup, now all you need to do is use the app!

It seems the app uses the new phones front-facing camera to create a mirror-like image right on the screen. Can you think of a more high-tech way to check your teeth for leftover spinach?

More than just skin deep, these apps are big business for software developers.

Seven to 10 million iPhone or iTouch users have already downloaded a beauty-related app or indicated they are very interested in doing so, Sunil Verma, founder of mobile ad exchange network Mobiclix, told the New York Times.

While these apps are most popular with young women ages 14 to 17, Verma said many users are grown women interested in how these apps make their lives easier.

Were seeing a lot of single professionals and mothers downloading these apps, he said.

Arbe, the artist who has achieved world-wide success, comes from Soviet Armenia. Arbe, also known as Ara Berberyan, is the son of a well-known and highly regarded artist and professor of Art and Design. Arbe’s father recognized his son’s potential and talent when Ara was still young. When Arbe was twelve, his art work was first exposed to the world in -The World by Children’s Eyes- exhibition. The exposition was opened in the U.S.S.R and then traveled to Canada, United States, France, and Italy. Arbe went on to complete a Master of Art degree at the University of Art and Designing in Yerevan, Armenia. During his studies in the nation’s capital, Arbe was especially drawn to the works of Klimt, Picasso, and Dali for inspiration. Although material on these artists was limited in the Soviet era, Arbe managed to find the appropriate works. After graduation, in 1981, numerous government-commissioned projects at national theaters, hotels, and the Yerevan Airport were completed by Arbe. The artist focused on the development of his career. It was not easy to be an artist in the Soviet Union. However, through his determination, Arbe succeeded in obtaining various projects through the Architectural Office, -Gostproect-. During this time, facades for public buildings, officer, and other spaces were designed by Arbe. The artist used elaborate gold designs and ornate marble patterns in his work on the facades, no doubt drawing his inspiration from the renowned Gustav Klimt. Various private commissions for exclusive clients and government officials followed. These private pieces included murals, classical portraits, and numerous landscapes.

Oil on canvas work is typical to Arbe’s art. Paintings that incorporate metallic textures in abstract backgrounds can also be recognized as those completed by Arbe. The artist likes to use gold and silver hand worked leafs to give his creations a three dimensional and attention grabbing aspect. His pieces are an exquisite mixture of modern and classic, completed in earth-tone palettes with vivid, sparely added colors such as red, blue, and purple. The artist also likes to use Armenian history, legends, biblical themes as inspiration for his work. Arbe’s art work is characterized by a feeling of peace and exudes a soothing glow. International art auctions and various online art auctions are great sources for purchasing this amazing artist’s work.

Ahmad Khawaja, the lead singer of the band, The Outcasts, started singing at an early age. He came from a family of singers and ever since, he was always in a certain band singing the lead. Also, he is quite talented with an electric guitar and drums which always got him grounded for disturbing his neighbors back in New Orleans.

Ahmad Khawaja was the youngest of 3 children, enough reason for him to be doted upon by his mother. By the time he was in middle school, he expressed his wishes to join in a rock band. This, of course, was frowned upon by his father who was a highly conservative and religious person. Although also a musician, his father’s genre of music was into the classical and religious scenes. When he was in junior high, he and his high school band, The Boarders, started playing on their school gigs. They later started playing on the local shows in town during special events.

The Boarders, however, soon disbanded for different reasons. Two members of the band, Ahmad and his best friend Michael Pensworth decided to pursue their career as rock star artists. After meeting the other members of the group in a local bar, The Outcasts was formed.

At the start of the band formation, everything was not really smooth with them that the group almost disbanded. It was Ahmad who made the group promise that they were not to disband without even trying for one last gig. It was at this gig that they started to be noticed and soon afterwards, the rest was just history. Producers soon came knocking on their doorsteps with various offers of supporting them as well as endorsements. The Outcasts write their own songs and compose their own music with messages regarding love and nationalism. The Outcasts are actually the youth’s idol when it comes to the rock star band of the 21st century without the drugs and the booze.

Ahmad Khawaja and The Outcasts have come a long way since. Ahmad claims his inspirations when writing songs and singing his rock songs and ballads would always come from his high school girlfriend turned wife Julie Tyler. His fans are also another source of his inspiration as they never fail to amaze him with their love for him and his music. He says he will continue to write and sing for them as long as they want him to.

It is pretty common knowledge that many actors, singers, models, reality TV stars, and other celebrities have undergone plastic surgery to make themselves look younger, give themselves the bodies they have always wanted, or improve the appearance of the face. However, even though it is totally obvious that some celebrities have undergone cosmetic surgery, they just won’t come out and admit that they have undergone treatment.

    Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman finally admitted in a recent magazine interview that she has had Botox injections, but says that was in the past and she did not like the effects of the product. Kidman remained mum on the subject of plastic surgery, despite persistent rumors that the Academy Award winning actress has undergone breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, and liposuction. A simple Internet search of the actress reveals photos that were taken in the 80s; back then Kidman’s nose looks as though it has a different shapes and her lips were much thinner.

    Madonna

A telltale sign of use of plastic surgery and non-invasive aesthetic treatments: women in their 40s, 50s, and up that do not have a single wrinkle on their face. Madonna is in her 50s and does not exhibit the normal signs of aging such as wrinkling of the skin or skin laxity. She credits a macrobiotic diet and stringent fitness routine, which includes yoga, for maintaining such a youthful appearance for her age. Plastic surgeons and gossipers agree that the Queen of Pop has likely undergone some type of facial plastic surgery procedure, or at the very least, non-invasive treatments such as chemical peels or laser skin resurfacing.

    Kim Kardashian

The reality TV star has undergone non-invasive cosmetic treatments, including VelaShape and Botox injections, on her reality show. However, the buxom beauty denies having the plastic surgery procedures she is rumored to have undergone, such as butt augmentation, placement of breast implants, rhinoplasty, and lip enhancement. While it is hard to tell if her butt or breasts have been augmented, her nose does appear to have been reshaped sometime between the first and second seasons of her reality show.

Hiring a makeup artist can be nerve wracking. After all, those who need a makeup artist are most likely going to need it for a big event. It could be for a wedding or a photo shoot of some sort and if that’s the case, it’s important to have it done well. The right makeup artist could mean the difference between gorgeous photos and photos that will be a terrible reminder of a terrible day. Those who are going to hire a makeup artist would do well to take a look at the list of interview questions to ask below.

First, a good question to ask would be to ask how long the artist has been doing what he or she has been doing. This will give a good idea of the level of experience they have had. An experienced makeup artist is undoubtedly important. They will be able to handle the pressure better as well as they will be able to predict what types of makeup will be best for certain skin types.

Another good question to ask might be where they have done makeup before. There are very different weather conditions to understand which will affect the products used. Maryland makeup might need to be very different from California makeup, for instance. Some places have more humidity and heat than others and should be dealt with accordingly.

References are incredibly important when hiring anyone for any job. Of course, everyone is going to say good things about themselves regarding their abilities. It’s important, therefore, to check their stories with people who have hired them before. This will help to bring to light any red flags that should be seen and help in predicting if a hiring decision is a good one to make or not.

Flexibility is a good question to ask. After all, many times the stylist in question will be needed on multiple days and at specific times. If they are not easy to get a hold of or are incredibly busy, that may play a determining factor in the ultimate hiring decision. It’s important to get their time commitments nailed down before offering a job. This will ensure that everyone knows what is expected and is able to fulfill the expectations, whatever they may be. Indeed, a novice mistake is to hire a makeup artist and not ask any of the questions mentioned above, first. Those who are thorough in their selection process are those who will most likely end up the happiest of all.

Everyone has a feature or two that they’d like to change. Don’t believe it? Pull out some photos and take a visual stroll down memory lane with some of your favorite celebrities. Check out pictures of Nicole Kidman, Julia Roberts and Liv Tyler over the years. Lip augmentation? No one’s confessed, but the rumor queens are convinced. Dermal fillers have been a popular method of plumping up thin and wrinkled lips for years.

Botox injections are another popular cosmetic procedure enjoyed by those who work on screen as well as the general public. The procedure is becoming so commonplace that people are more inclined to admit they’ve had it. Not that you’d have to. Surgery-free and done in the privacy of your doctor’s office, Botox injections relax facial muscles, allowing fine lines to fade and your skin to smooth. A regular target of these injections are the “11” lines that form between your eyebrows as you get older. Fine lines at the corners of your eyes can be softened as well. Alternative drugs with actions similar to Botox include Dysport and, most recently, Xeomin.

The tweaking of features doesn’t end at the lips and brow. Your nose can get into the act as well. A nose job, or rhinoplasty, can decrease self-consciousness or repair a nasal injury. Alexa Joel has been open about her nose job. A deviated septum was reported to be the cause of Jennifer Aniston’s rhinoplasty. Whether the effect is the dramatic reduction of a prominent bump or the thinning of the nasal tip, the center-stage position of the nose on the face makes almost any change impossible to deny. Many would attest that the benefits are worth the disclosure.

The same could be said when it comes to a facelift. It’s difficult to keep dramatic changes hush-hush. Facelifts are typically reserved for that time when injectables, like fillers and Botox, are no longer able to keep up with telltale sags, bags and creases. The surgical tightening of muscles and removal of excess skin creates numerous age-defying changes in your appearance. The average age range for a facelift is 50 to 65, although several celebrities much older than this are rumored to have had the procedure with positive results.

If you’re considering cosmetic intervention, perusing celebrity before and after pics can be a great way to gather information. Looking at actual results gives you an idea about changes you’d like to make and possible options. Determine your personal cutoff point, too. There’s a line between a good thing and too much of a good thing. A qualified plastic surgeon, such as a plastic surgery Dallas provider, can help you navigate the realities of cosmetic procedures and assist you in formulating a plan to age both beautifully and gracefully.

The latest in a long string of celebrities to write children’s books when the going gets tough, Barack Obama has joined the ranks of children’s authors with his book, Of thee I sing.

Bookstores across the world are filled with celebrity offerings and Obama is not the first celebrity to turn to writing children’s books when they have been perceived less than favourably in the press. Though admittedly, he is the first president to aim his work at children. n.

Well-known names such as Madonna (who released her first of six children’s books, The English Roses, back in 2003) and Sarah Ferguson (who has released a string of books throughout her many periods of disgrace) have jumped on the bandwagon.

It is thought that these celebrities (including former First-Lady, Hilary Clinton) believe that by showing their softer, compassionate side, will regain the public’s trust and respect after falling from grace. Take Jordan, a.k.a Katie Price, for example – after a string of allegations and accusations in the press, Jordan released her sparkly pink offering, My Pony Care book.

Obama has provided himself some saving grace, in the form of all his proceeds going to charity. All money gained from sales of the publication will benefit the Fisher House Foundation, a charity dedicated to the children of soldiers wounded or killed in battle, and Obama is not giving any interviews in relation to the release.

Other cynics have also attributed the celebrities’ enthusiasm to the success achieved by the phenomenally popular Harry Potter books, which made JK Rowling both a celebrity and a millionaire.

Despite the fact that many cynics see celebrities’ writing ambitions as a money-making enterprise, it can be argued that it doesn’t matter who’s written the books; if children are more inclined to sit down and read just because their favourite celebrity is attached to the novel, where is the harm?

By reading more, children widen their vocabulary and advance their development. This outcome is positive even if the books themselves may ultimately be a cynical attempt at making cash and creating publicity.

If it was possible for a digital artist to have heaven on earth, it would revolve around Cintiq 24 HD. Wacom’s new tablet Cintiq 24 HD priced at $2500 proves its worth with the state-of-the-art technology and impressive design used in it. It is the best drawing tool that any designer or artist can get. People who work in Photoshop, Manga Studio , Sketch Book Pro or painter with older Wacom models, this means a better finesse with a gentler touch at 24.1 in wide screen (1920×1200 pixels).

There’s a reason why these tablets are so much in demand- it is the easiest and best way to do a lot of drawing in a very less time with more fluency and efficiency. Wacom’s pressure sensitive tablet technology is overlaid by Cintiq on the tablet monitor that removes the cognitive dissonance of working on a tablet while looking at the screen. The Cintiq 24 HD has 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity. It uses two button, wireless, battery-free pen with a rubber grip and a pressure sensitive eraser on the rear end. One of the most useful buttons is the one that calls the on-screen keyboard. A perfect combination of on screen keyboard, side function buttons, and the touch wheel makes it easier to forget physical key board.

Before making a purchase, make sure you have enough room to accommodate this classic yet huge drawing tablet. The flat footprint is 80 x 60cm and depth is 37cm when the screen is fully raised. Also unlike other 18 inch and 21 inch tablets, Cintiq 24 HD does not have a rotating pivot. However, it can be raised to the drawing board angle at any time. Cintiq 24 HD has a glass screen with anti-glare coating which gives a slight yet pleasant resistance to the pen. Calibration, however, can be a small issue like it has been in other Cintiq tablets. The user has to calibrate the cursor to match up with their line of sight as the cursor is a few millimeters below where the pen nib hits the glass. But after a couple of tries, the calibration gets excellent.

The Cintiq 24 HD is worth the money you spend, the space it takes because of the excellent quality of work you get. If you are a digital artist, it is a necessity to enjoy the flawless digital drawing experience.
